My Word for the week is: Strength

strength

So this week ive been tackling my addiction, craving for Coffee and Energy Drinks. Things got quite bad with feeling the need for Caffeine, that I felt I had no choice but to go cold turkey and never look back.

Its been hard and its took a whole boat load of STRENGTH to get through those early cravings and the need for Coffee has been over powering at times and not to mention the headaches… urghhh those haven’t been nice.

Thankfully Im on Day3 now and the headaches have subsided and emotionally I feel a lot better as apposed to the other day when I could of killed my partner Lee haha… Thankfully he’s still alive and kicking (only just!)

What word would you use to sum up your week?

I went through this a few years back. I had health issues which my or may not have been related to caffeine so went cold turkey! Oh boy, those headaches really are awful aren’t they?! But by day 3 I was also over the worst and only have the occasional ‘leaded’ coffee. Now I not drink relish tea or herbals :). Well done on your willpower!

I remember many years ago I was addicted to Coca Cola, I was drinking litres of the stuff every day. Like you I decided to go cold turkey and good lord, the headaches!! It was like no headache I’ve ever had and I suffer with migraines.

Keep up the good work x

Well done lovely, if you can get passed the headaches you’re plain sailing. I gave up coffee a couple of years ago, but caved in when 4yo’s sleep hit rock bottom. I think about doing it again some times, but know I need it too much at the mo.

    Good luck xx #WotW

Well done to you, that must be tough but such a great achievement. I only drink tea and lots of it and I feel awful if I stop for any reason which means that it is so bad for me.

Well done it is hard but so worth it. I am a week without caffeine and energy drinks and feel so much better. I am taking supplements though for energy now like the berrocca ones. Good luck

Hope you’ve still managed to keep it up. I cut right back when I was working in Canary Wharf, because it was too easy to go for a nice coffee and it was bad for both IVF and pregnancy. But since having Potato, I’m back at it and couldn’t cope without it. Well done you xx
