The Mummy Tag – All about us!

I recently spotted a lovely blog post called the The Mummy Tag over at Oh so Amelia!. so I instantly decided to take Part as its a great way to find out more about who’s behind those fabulous blogs :)… I tag you all to take part (if you wish too of course!)

1. Are you a Stay at Home Mum, or a Working Mum?
Im so so lucky to be a Stay at home mummy. I did plan to go back to work once Ashton our youngest son was at school. But when he was 2 years old, I had a Subarachnoid Aneurysm haemorrhage (S.A.H) and I needed Emergency Brain surgery. I was lucky! Infact Very Very lucky to survive and even more lucky to survive without major disabilities, but its took some years to recover and im still not 100% and last year we had out 3rd Child Layla… So fingers crossed when she’s in full time school I shall return.

2. Would you have it any other way?
No, why would I??? I love being at home with my kids.

3. Do you co-sleep?
Daulton and Ashton has always liked there own space when babies… Layla on a couple of occasions ive let her stay in bed with us as it was just easier to breastfeed her whilst laying down in bed, but that often ended up with us both going to sleep. But I find I get hardly no sleep with Layla in our bed!! She wriggles around too much.

4. What is your one must-have item for your baby?
Baby Sleeping Bags should at the top of any Must Have baby items!!… All 3 of mine have had them, keeps them loving warm during the nights and its also safer.

5. How many kids do you plan on having?
3 is enough!… I love my kids more than anything, but sometimes there cant half push those buttons! haha

6. Date nights? How many do you have per month?
Were pretty rubbish at this!, we had a date night/weekend the other week for Lee’s 30th Birthday, first time in 10 years!!! But there is the odd occasion where we will make a point of sitting down with a glass of bubbly and a DVD.

7. Your child’s favourite show?
The Boys like Horrid Henry, but also like watching The Chase when its on at Tea time… Layla hardly sits to watch anything, but from time to time has clapped her hands when ive put Peppa Pig on.

8. Name one thing you bought before you had the baby and never ended up using?
I bought a ton of stuff before I had Daulton my 1st. The brush and comb set was totally useless!, he never had any hair till he was a year old.

9. Your child’s favourite food?
Daulton loves any fresh fruit, I think pineapple is his favourite. Ashton loves jam sandwiches and Layla eats everything in sight!

10. How many cars does your family have?
Just 1, we don’t need more as Lee works from home.

11. Weight gain, before pregnancy, during, after and now?
Before I had Daulton I weighed 8stone and went to 12stone :O, it took quite a while to shift. Ashton I was 8 and half stone and went upto 10stone, I lost it really easy (probably helped me being a mummy to 2 and he was born in august, so I walked everywhere!). Layla I was 8.10 stone and went upto 9.7stone, I was back to my pre-pregnancy size within a week!!! But I think Breastfeeding her played a HUGE part in that and also she was a summer baby and so I walked everywhere.

12. Dream holiday with your kids?
I would love to go to Disneyland in Florida!

13. Dream holiday without your kids?
Somewhere Hot with a beach and a waiter handing me on!!! without the word “MAM” being shouted 20x times in an hour… :).

14. How has your life changed since having kids?
Getting out the house for a specific time is totally impossible and its even harder to spend time doing your hair and makeup!

16. Where do you shop for your kids?
We don’t really have a lot of shops where I live so I tend to go to Next, Primark and Asda.

17. Favourite make-up and skincare products?
I like Rimmel Mascara, but that’s the only thing I tend to use… Im not really a Girly Girl :/

18. Huggies or Pampers?
Pampers

19. Have you always wanted kids?
No, haha… But it all changed when I met Lee and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

20. Best part of being a mum?
Getting to see my little people Grow and Grow each day into fine young Men. There make me feel so proud and now Layla is 10 months old we get to start all over again with those first moments

I would Love to read yours… So please pop a link to yours in the Comments 🙂 x
