This year im just not feeling that “Christmas Sparkle” :(… Were not done present shopping, we haven’t even started wrapping yet!.. and the money pot? well that dried up to get the boys the xbox one… blurghhhhhhhhh oh and did I mention its *bloody freezing!* I need to hibernate till about june 😀 hehe… I hate the cold! lol
Anyways dragging myself kicking and screaming back into reality, I must do something to bring abit of sparkle back especially for my kids, I don’t want to be seen as a bah humbug and ruin it for them… so ive decided to indulge myself into writing Christmas posts etc in an attempt to bring it back.
whilst browsing about I came across this on Makeup Pixi3 I just knew that I had to join in 🙂
1. Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic?
I really like the smell of real tree’s, but purely for cost we have a 6ft bushy fakey that has somehow survived the past 7 years. it originally cost £40.00 so its more than paid for itself.. My lovely nana gave me the money to purchase it as the tree I did have I bought as a x-display one from wilkinsons and it was bare! haha so she was like “that’s no good, heres some money go and get a bigger one!”.
2. You’re in a coffee shop, it’s December, what do you pick?
I don’t really visit coffee shops, but I do LOVE coffee and my favourite is a Mocha… So I would probably just stick with that or if there was a coffee with a sprinkle of cinnamon I would be up for trying that (really like cinnamon)
3. What’s your favourite colour scheme for decorating the tree?
I normally colour co-ordinate with the living room, I did have silver black baubles last year. But I decorated not too long ago and so there didn’t match! (any excuse to splurge out on new things hehe)… so now we have Pewter and dusky purple/mink YUMMM with bright white chaser Lights.
4. Giving or receiving?
Absolutely LOVE giving presents! Im not too bothered about receiving, although Lee really does go to town with me, one year he bought me my first car!!! and another he paid for me to do my family tree that I soooo longed to do. Hes really good at presents!. So last year I did it back to him hehe. All Year he banged on about a Makita Drill! how there fab, he’d love one but there too expensive. So I saved up to get him one. I wrapped it up in loads of wrapping paper and put it in a different box to throw him off the sent that it was a drill.. His face was EPIC when he soon realised exactly what it was! 🙂
5. To mince pie or not to?
Hmmmmm mince pies, YUM YUM… Yes yes yes to mince pies
6. What’s your traditional Christmas lunch?
Im not a big Meat fan, and so it has to be chicken for me, never tried turkey and to be honest I don’t think I ever will… So we have basically a Sunday Chicken Roast lol… Yorkshire Puddings, Gravy, Carrots, Peas, Green Beans, Turnip, Roasties, Mash!! with a dollop of Mint Sauce… Cant wait!!!
7. What’s your Christmas day fashion?
I tend to stay quite casual, as we only tend to stay at home and then go to lee’s parents after dinner to get prezzies and spread the Christmas love. So this year, probs my ugg boots, jeans and a nice snug jumper.
8. What’s your favourite Christmas song?
I don’t have a favourite, but I do enjoy listening to the usuals.
9. What’s your favourite Christmas film?
It has to be Home Alone!!! Its one of my childhood Films 🙂
10. Open presents before or after lunch?
Hahaha I would love to see the kids wait till after dinner!… although this year were giving them the Xbox one after we have been to lees parents, so a, we can at least get them out of the house after dinner! and b, lee was given a fab present when he was younger later on in the day that he wasn’t expecting… so were gonna do that with the kids… cant wait to see their faces as there don’t think there getting one 🙂 Hehe
