Pretty Bluebells lined up in a Row #HDYGG

How does your Garden Grow Purple Pansies

This weeks How Does Your Garden Grow? Post, features my front and back Gardens… Unfortunately there’s not a lot of colour or pretty exotic plants going on out there (i have more weeds than anything), i just haven’t had the time due to us being busy building a Porch and a Conservatory, so this spring/summer its my target to get lots of pretty flowers and features going on out there!

I’ve noticed out the back that one of my bulbs that i planted earlier in the year has actually grew! but its a shame i couldn’t tell you what it actually is, because i cant for the life of me remember what i planted ooppps 🙂

I also noticed the usual weeds going on out the back, but usually i just pull them out and bin them. This time i just stopped and took a good look at them, the dandelion in particular is quite beautiful with its bright yellow petals and the daisy’s takes me back to my childhood when i would sit for hours making daisy chains. I feel sorry for weeds, because there get a bad press, but i think there just as pretty! 🙂

I don’t recognise that bulb so can’t help you there! I love the bluebell and am admiring them everywhere at the moment.

I do that – plant stuff and then forget what it was! I’m popping labels in my pots this year to remind me!

Lovely lovely photos, the dandelion is so bright! I use to sit and pick the petals of daisies one at time. Use to keep me amused for hours 🙂

I’m now going to be singing ‘mary mary quite contrary’ all day I think 🙂 I’m always planting things with no idea of their names because the identifier goes missing. Still it makes things more interesting!

A weed is just a plant in the wrong place … so if you like it keep it 🙂 Did you by any chance plant an iris – that could be your mystery plant?

‘A weed is only a plant you don’t want there’ is what my grandad always said, and I agree. Sometimes I keep pretty weeds in the garden much to my husbands horror.
We made daisy chains last week, and that was so nice to do with the kids, reminded my of my childhood.

Lovely photos. My girl loves making daisy chains so we have come to an agreement that I will leave some patches for her rather than de-weeding them all!

Love daisies to bits – dandelions and I don’t get on at the moment though! Sounds like a busy old time for you there so extra kudos for joining in 🙂
Lovely to have you joining in 🙂

I agree, weeds are pretty, it’s just that they take over and grow faster than other plant. I leave the in my lawn though, they add a bit of colour and the bees love them. #hdygg
