How to make a Felt Flower, Stretchy Baby Headband

Today i decided to make my Little Girl a lovely felt flower Headband. There are so easy to do and anyone can do them. This particular one took around 5-10mins to do, the bit that took the longest was actually cutting out the flowers.

So Lets get on with making it:

Things you will need: Felt Glue Gun Pen 15mm Elastic scissors

Draw a flowery shape with your pen onto the felt.

Draw and cut out 4x Flowers, doesnt really matter whether there neat or vary slightly in shape.

Place a small dollop of Hot glue to the very centre of your Flower.

and fold the flower in half, make sure to press where the glue is so that the flower sticks together.

Repeat the gluing process for all 4 of your Flowers and slot your petals together in the configuration as shown, so that there interlocking and overlapping eachother. Ive left the gap in the middle to make it easier for you to see how there are interlocked...

But when you come to gluing them together push the folded dlowers tightly together and glue each overlapped flower down onto the flower underneath it, so that there are affixed together.

Measure your babies head and cut the elastic 1" shorter. Place a small dollop of glue on the edge of the elastic and place the other end of the elastic on top and press firmly untill glue hardens/dries.

Place a small dollop of glue onto where you joined the elastic together.

and glue onto the back of the Flower.

Cut out a small circle in matching colour felt and cover it glue, then place it over the elastic and stick it onto the back of your flower. This will make the flower more secure.

There we go... Takes less than a few minutes to make these and you can make them in absolutely any colour and any style. In this picture i decided to cut out a extra flower (5 in total) and folded it over and glued it into the circle to give the flower abit more of a fuller look.
